Instapundit advocates year-round Daylight Saving Time

Glenn Reynolds is one of my favorite bloggers, but he's way off base in advocating for permanent Daylight Saving Time.  I, for one, don't like the way Congress attempts to practice social engineering by changing the time.  Listen to me:  Noon should occur during the hour when the Sun is highest in the sky.  There's never been a good reason to practice Daylight Saving Time.  Get up an hour earlier if you want more daylight, but leave my clock alone.  

DST lovers probably believe that if Obama gets elected, he'll spread the sunshine around.   Balderdash, I say!
